About
CRDD was established in 2019 and over the period of its existence, it has fostered strategic partnerships and networking arrangements with different categories of actors at local, regional and global levels based on shared ideals of addressing real-life problems and finding practical solutions to build stronger communities. The partners include societal actors, community-based organizations (CBOs), research institutes Universities and national and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and coalitions. The vision of CRDD is that of drylands that are sustainably managed and productively used by communities to support their livelihoods and spur economic development. Its mission is to strengthen the capacity of pastoralists and agro-pastoralists as individuals and groups and through their traditional institutions knowledge as effective actors in drylands policy development and programming.
